We are delighted to announce the Gala Dinner 2026 – An Evening with Gretchen Albrecht and Peter Gordon on Saturday 1 August, proudly presented by House of Huia.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and TOGETHER partners, the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū Foundation has acquired a significant new work by Gretchen Albrecht, one of the true giants of Aotearoa New Zealand's art history.

We would be honoured to have you in the room when the artwork is revealed for the very first time.

An Evening with Gretchen Albrecht and Peter Gordon will be an intimate and exceptional evening: a beautiful dinner created by celebrated chef Peter Gordon, with wine, beer and spirits generously provided by Greystone Wines, Three Boys Brewery and Curiosity Gin.

And at the heart of it all, Gretchen Albrecht herself, in conversation with a very special guest MC, sharing the story of her work.
