Mihi whakatau, then an introduction to the exhibition followed by kai, tea/coffee and drinks.
Celebrating the long and highly respected practice of senior Aotearoa New Zealand artist Fred Graham (Ngāti Koroki Kahukura, Tainui), this exhibition features significant sculptures and relief works from 1965 to 2013. Graham combines Māori and European artmaking traditions to skilfully weave together his close observations of nature with imagery from te ao Māori.
Exhibition developed and toured by Te Uru Waitākere Contemporary Gallery.
